Measurement / Templating:

Our staff includes qualified, professional estimators who are prompt and courteous. They have expert knowledge and offer advice when needed on design and technical issues. Given our estimator's precision and expertise, we do not inconvenience the homeowner by requiring them to remove current countertops prior to templating. During the template process, our servicemen provide the homeowner with a Countertop Checklist to assure all their questions regarding the entire process are answered. We always re-calculate the project's square footage after the field measurement to make sure all specifications are correct and our clients only pay for the material they are using and not a penny more!

Fabrication:

Both our locations are equipped with sate of the art machinery. We currently have seven production lines in our Rockville shop and eleven production lines at our Laurel location. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our two newest machines that are currently being built in Italy. We are hopeful that with our new hi-tech machinery, we will expedite countertops at an even faster rate than what we currently produce. We have been applauded by various organizations for our safe and clean fabrication shops. In addition, our experienced Fabricators are meticulous in their layout scheme and judgment. Between our two locations, we are able to fabricate a minimum of 22 countertops per day. Currently, we have the capacity to produce and install over 100 countertops per week. With the arrival of our newest machines, we will be able to provide an excess amount of 30 kitchens per week. Once the fabrication is completed, the Fabrication Manager inspects all jobs in detail before they leave our warehouse. Our fabricators are infamous for their attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship.

Installation:

All of our installers are checked yearly for background. We want all of our customers to feel confident and secure in their choice of a fabricator. Our uniformed installers are professional and on time. They are extremely courteous and perform immaculate work. Most important of all, they get the job done! They treat each client with respect and pay attention to detail, as if they were installing in their very own homes. Stone & Tile World has an extensive training period for our installation crew members. They are required to be an apprentice for six months before they establish their own team. With the tedious background checks we perform and the strict training we provide to all of our installers, it is no surprise why our margin for error is particularly low, and our clients are extremely satisfied! Our installers always arrive in a timely fashion. They are equipped with the proper tools and are always ready to install the masterpiece our fabricators have created. Each and every person at Stone & Tile World is critical in the entire process of purchasing a countertop. Communication and organization are our two strongest attributes that make our company a success. We are proud of our work, and have a true passion that is reflected in our initial customer service to our final installation.

Cycle Time:

Our average cycle time from measurement to installation is five to ten business days. Given the particular material selection, the cycle time could vary. We try to accommodate the client using every resource that we possess. Our goal is to stock large quantities of all types of stone, including exotic material. This would allow us to better service our clients, provide faster cycle time, and to prevent longer than normal delivery times for high demand stones. Inventory is especially critical for projects or new construction, due to the time sensitive nature of the job. Between our two locations, we are able to stock thousands of slabs. We have one of the fastest cycle times in the industry today!
